HOLLYWOOD star Teresa Palmer is moving to the UK to star in a new British TV series.
The Adelaide actress said she was preparing to relocate her family — husband Mark Webber and their three sons — to the UK indefinitely after landing the small-screen role.
“It was a family decision,” said the Hacksaw Ridge star, 31, who splits her time between her home at Scott Creek in the Adelaide Hills and Los Angeles.
“(TV) is an incredible platform these days … and for me it’s wonderful stability having my family in one place for a long period of time rather than bouncing from film to film.”
On the red carpet at last week’s David Jones Spring Summer launch, Palmer said she couldn’t name the TV series but it is believed they will be living in Wales for at least six months.
“Then you see if it gets picked up or if the season continues on, so we will see,” she said.
“It’s going to be a huge transition for our family, but I’m very excited and I’m passionate about the … new chapter in my life.”
Palmer’s son Forest was born in December while she also has a three-year-old son Bodhi and a nine-year-old stepson from Webber’s previous marriage.
She has already enrolled her children in schools that offer the same Montessori education they receive in Adelaide — a system whereby children are taught in mixed age groups and learn at their own pace following their individual interests.
